Fearless Woven Colors: The Resilience of Youth in the Face of Change
Created during a remote Gist Yarn Artist Residency, Fearless Woven Colors is a collaborative textile installation made with youth from the Norris Square Neighborhood Project. Through a series of weaving workshops, participants explored identity, belonging, and resistance to displacement. Their woven reflections now live permanently in the Raíces Garden in North Philadelphia, a public art piece rooted in community, culture, and the enduring strength of young voices.
